Ministry Operations Coordinator – Communications, Finance & Worship

Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Location: In-office or Remote (hybrid possible) Sunday Responsibilities: None required

 

Position Summary

The Ministry Operations Coordinator serves as a key support role to the Pastor of Worship, Communications, and Finance. This position functions as the operational and administrative hub for communications across the Family of Churches, while also supporting Financial workflowsand select scheduling needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, tech-savvy, and capable of managing multiple streams of work with excellence and discretion.

 

Key Responsibilities

Communications & Media (Primary Focus)

• Serve as the primary point person for communications across the Family of Churches.

• Manage and oversee weekly E-News communications.

• Coordinate and manage social media platforms (primarily Facebook & Instagram).

• Act as liaison to graphic designer, videography team lead, and photography team lead.

• Manage communications for special events.

• Schedule, lead, and facilitate a weekly Communications Team meeting via Zoom.

• Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and messaging.

• Track and manage communication projects through Basecamp.

• Liaison for web administrator

• Domain name management

• Other duties as assigned.

Financial & Administrative Support

• Assist with distribution and management of Ramp cards.

• Ensure staff submit receipts and maintain financial accountability.

• Serve as staff liaison with the external accountant.

• Coordinate check requests and payment processing.

• Support basic financial workflows and documentation.

• Schedule finance and personnel team meetings

• Managing financial record accuracy for TouchPoint

• Secure and process employee and vendor tax information.

Scheduling & Planning Support

• Assist in scheduling musicians and vocalists.

• Utilize Planning Center for scheduling and communication.

• Help manage calendars and deadlines.

Required Skills & Proficiencies

• Strong organizational and project management skills.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Proficiency with Basecamp, Zoom, Facebook & Instagram, Planning Center.

• Ability to manage confidential information.

• High level of reliability and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualities

• Experience in church or nonprofit environments.

• Background in communications, marketing, or executive support.

• Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
