In our main sessions, we’ll worship with Underscore Worship and hear from speaker Ryan Murphy on Matthew 5:14-20 and how this teaching of Jesus changes our perspectives, pursuits, and purpose. On Sunday, February 23, we’ll have our Black History celebration during our 9:15 and 11 a.m. worship services. Together, we’ll not only remember the accomplishments of the past but we’ll rejoice in the work Jesus has done to unify and bring all people together through the cross. Southaven High School Choir will be joining us for this special day, so don’t miss it! No registration is required, just bring the family and join us!
Want to go on mission with us this Spring Break? We’re traveling to Abaco, Bahamas this coming March 8 through 14 to partner with Caribbean Ministries Association and missionary Justin Wilson. While we’re there, we’ll support a local church by providing kids ministry, and we’ll support Justin and his family in their important work on the island. Story & Soul Weekend is coming December 6-8, and ladies—we want you to be there! This retreat is carefully designed to offer you and the women in your life an opportunity to get away and enjoy some time centered on scripture, stillness, and sisterhood. The retreat takes place at The Country Place in Moscow, TN (about a 45-minute drive). It starts Friday evening after dinner, and you’ll be back in time for your campus’s second service on Sunday. Cost is $195 for a cottage spot (rooms of 10) with a $100 deposit due at registration. (Note: The cottages have been renovated, and you'll love them!) We encourage you to make roommate requests, so talk to friends (like the women in your LifeGroup) and make plans to come together. If you don’t have any roommate preferences, no big deal! We will thoughtfully place you in a great spot. Spots tend to go quickly, so grab yours ASAP!
If you’d like to serve on an international mission project with us this year, consider joining us for a trip to El Salvador with Compassion International this December 5-10. We’ll visit the Compassion Center, interact with the children who attend there (many of whom our church members’ sponsor!), visit homes, and encourage the leaders and families we see. You can apply to go on the trip below (application does not guarantee a spot on the trip as each applicant will need to be vetted by our pastors/elders). We are excited to continue our enhanced child dedication experience for families which includes a dinner with teaching and a special time to pray over your child. This special, two-part event features a catered dinner from 5-6:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 10 and a moment in our 9:15 a.m. service on Sunday, August 11. For Saturday, each family can bring up to 10 people (kids are included in this total), and additional tickets can be purchased for $10 per person if your group exceeds that. For Sunday, feel free to bring as many people as you’d like. We are so excited for how this dedication experience allows us to offer more intentional programming and involve your family in a deeper way! If you’d like to participate, register below!

Back to School Bash is our annual takeover of our regular Sunday morning programming that helps us celebrate the new school year for all kids ministry—and it’s when in our new kindergarteners join us and receive a special gift. In order to earn funds for camp, our students will be available for household chores or yard work on May 11 and May 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. To request a paid service, Colonial Hills members can pay $15 per hour per student (two student minimum) to help with these tasks.
